1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and The Byte Pulse regarding QRHub at qrhub.thebytepulse.com and related redirect links we host.
If you do not agree, do not use QRHub. If you use QRHub on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The service
QRHub is a web-based toolkit for creating QR codes for common use cases (websites, WiFi, contact cards, payments, social profiles, and more). Features may change, expand, or be withdrawn at any time.
Public use does not require an account. When you generate a QR code, we may create a short redirect URL and store the payload you submitted so scans can resolve correctly. Details are described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to use QRHub. You may not use the service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use QRHub to:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Distribute malware, phishing pages, scams, or other harmful content
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others
- Encode or promote illegal goods, exploitation, or violent crime
- Abuse, overload, scrape, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure
- Attempt unauthorized access to admin areas, accounts, or systems
- Misrepresent affiliation with The Byte Pulse or QRHub
We may disable QR codes, block access, or remove content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or creates risk for users or our systems.
5. Your content and responsibility
You are solely responsible for the information you encode in QR codes, including WiFi credentials, payment identifiers, personal contact details, and destination URLs. You represent that you have the right to use and share that information.
Anyone who scans a printed or shared QR code may access the encoded destination or content. Treat sensitive payloads accordingly.
You grant The Byte Pulse a limited license to host, process, and transmit the payloads you submit solely to operate QRHub (including redirects and related technical processing).
6. Intellectual property
QRHub, its branding, design, software, and documentation are owned by The Byte Pulse or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use QRHub and to download QR codes you generate for your lawful personal or business purposes.
7. Third-party destinations
QR codes may link to websites, apps, payment schemes, or services we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy practices, or transactions that occur after a scan leaves QRHub.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
QRHub is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that QR codes will scan successfully on every device or camera in every condition. Print quality, size, contrast, and the scanning device all affect results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Byte Pulse and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of QRHub.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for QRHub in the three months before the claim (which is typically zero for free public use) or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify The Byte Pulse against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your QR codes, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Changes to the service or terms
We may modify QRHub or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will show a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
We may suspend or discontinue QRHub (or any feature) without liability, including for maintenance, abuse prevention, or business reasons.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Pakistan will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or QRHub, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
